Fact & Friction is a trusted go-to for creative guidance and support.

 

We work across a range of genres, creating content for a variety of platforms.

We have been at the helm of popular formats, including series producing 40 episodes of Undercover Boss, the hit Netflix glassblowing competition Blown Away, and Gogglebox for North America.

 

The company was founded in 2009 by Ron Carroll. 

 

Ron has worked for all the major networks and streamers in North America. He also consults with UK Production Companies about pitching the US and Canada.

Ron began his career at Two Four Productions, now part of ITV, and also worked for Shine Endemol in London as Senior Development Producer, Lifestyle. He is a British and Canadian citizen, and has a highly sought-after O-1 "Exceptional Talent" visa, affording the ability to also work in the United States. He is a trained journalist.

 

Fact & Friction recently relocated to Manchester. We're local and global and continue to bounce over to the US and Canada for production and development projects.

We recently inked a deal for an exciting new original competition format with Catalina Content, a new LA production label backed by Sky Studios.

As a response to tightening budgets, and at the increasing request of clients, we now offer full or half-day creative guidance and support sessions. We can work with your existing development team in person or remotely by video conference to help shape up story, fix formats and help get shows ready to pitch...  It's cost-effective, practical and productive. We can also take a headline idea and turn it into a fully fleshed-out pitch deck, ready to sell!
